Japanese from Japan (japanesefromjapan.com) is run by S-Block Technologies. You can reach us at sensei@japanesefromjapan.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you join our mailing list, unlock a lesson or leave it on the feedback card. It joins our mailing list, and we use it only to send our free lessons and learning updates.
- Feedback you send with the feedback card: your answer, your note (up to 200 characters) and the page you were on. Your email is never stored with the note.
- Anonymous usage stats from Vercel Web Analytics: pages viewed, the site that sent you, your country, browser and device type, and a few events such as using the romaji converter. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.
- Small settings in your browser: a cookie and local storage entry that remember you joined, so lessons stay unlocked, and a note that you already answered the feedback card.
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share your email with advertisers.
Who helps us run the site
The site is hosted by Vercel, which also provides the usage stats. Our emails are sent through the S-Block email service, which stores your address and your unsubscribe choice. These providers only process data to run the site for us.
Affiliate links
Some links, for example to books on Amazon or to tutoring sites, are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When you click one, that site may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Unsubscribe or delete your data
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. To have your email address and anything tied to it deleted, or to see what we hold about you, email sensei@japanesefromjapan.com and we will do it within 30 days.
